MEET THE CHEF

Chef Roger

“Chef Roger” Martins has been a prominent part of PRLP for almost 8 years! In those years, he has accomplished many wonderful things. From establishing and overseeing the production of a new commercial grade kitchen at the school, adding organic and local food to the daily menu, teaching cooking classes to the curious kids at PRLP and so much more!

Chef Roger originally hails from the city of Sao Paulo, the gourmet capital of Brazil. As the son of restaurateurs, Jose and Maria Martins, he grew up in a family business that began his devotion with the kitchen from the age of thirteen. He took his passion to a professional level by attending classes in his hometown, where he learned to add refinement to Brazilian cuisine. He then traveled throughout the Caribbean and Latin America to develop his unique approach to traditional cooking.

Chef Roger has been interviewed for Flavors magazine and also won an award for ‘Best Dessert’ at ‘Taste of Johns Creek’. He has also catered a smashing event for our state’s former governor, Nathan Deal.

Chef Roger’s mission at PRLP is to teach our kids that healthy food can be tasty and can help them grow strong and healthy too!
